My weekend mission: throw some weight into sprucing up the guest bedroom. It’s funny…the smallest space in my apartment is actually the one I adore the most, with its dark walls and close quarters. I’ve established a solid palette: charcoal walls + a textured white bed (accent pillows from One Kings Lane, pillows from Pottery Barn, and bedspread from Homegoods) + shaggy wool rug from West Elm to pick up the wall color.
This gave me free reign to infuse the rest space with any color. I looked for drapery online and hit Etsy for inspiration. And while something custom would be awesome, given the rate at which I change my mind, I think I need to opt for something ready-made.
Enter Target. I headed there today (snowy streets be damned!) and discovered a pretty extensive drapery line by Threshold. I picked up three: two teal-toned and one bright coral. I love the teals, but the coral adds a nice punch (it looks brighter here than in person). I’m going with option 2:

I also found a desk from One Kings Lane during my February “snow storm shopping blowout.” (Don’t ask. New Yorkers will understand). It’s actually a console but it should work well as a desk given it’s narrow depth and overall sleek proportions
